Reedsport, Oregon

Across the nation, school budgets continue to be tight.  Among the first programs to be affected
are extra-curricular activities and athletics.
One of the core beliefs among Braves Boosters supporters is that extra-curricular athletics and
activities are a crucial part of a well-rounded education.
In 2010-2011, donations of time and money by Boosters Association supporters made the
following possible:

On May 27, the Braves Boosters
awarded a new, portable, driveway
basketball backboard system to
Highland Elementary student Eric
Williams.

Eric was selected by Highland school
staff to receive the award, based on
his excellent attendance record this
year, as well as his helpfulness to
other students at school.

Pictured is Eric Williams and Joe
Zelinski of the Braves Boosters after
the backboard was assembled and
delivered to Eric's home in Reedsport.

Congratulations, Eric, and job well
done!  Enjoy your basketball hoop
with friends this summer!
